For returning readers and subscribers: This post introduces the Revised Version for Volume 1 – Part II – Section #11: The “Axioms, Assumptions & Hypotheses” of “Number Magic”
Summary:
Section #11: The “Axioms, Assumptions & Hypotheses” of “Number Magic” - This section expands the list of “Axioms, Assumptions & Hypotheses” that validate the use the “Metaphors, Methods & Methodologies” of the Logic & Statistics Program to make good individual, business, and investment decisions. The list starts with the “Axioms, Assumptions & Hypotheses” that define the quantifiable decision-making “Task Environment”. The axiomatization of the “Task Environment” for the quantification of decision-making led to the axiomatization of the characteristics of “Decision-Makers”. Finally, the formalization of both the decision-making “Task Environment” and the “Decision-Maker” led to the axiomatization of the decision-making “Process”. At this point in our review of the “Metaphors, Methods & Methodologies” of the Logic & Statistics Program that one can use to help make good individual decisions, how many “Large World” decision-making problems meet these “Axioms, Assumptions & Hypotheses”? While “Willful Ignorance, Error & Deceit” explains the observed “Puzzles, Paradoxes & Anomalies” that come from their application in the real world, these have also set the stage for the development of the “Maintenance Programs” and “Repair Programs” reviewed in the next section.
